Well, this was a long time in the making! I’ve been meaning to do a Trii timeline as well as with everybody else, but I’ve been holding it off for some unknown reason. Not anymore, though! I’ve also been playing around with some ideas about his past, and so far, what you are about to read is the culmination of what I thought up so far. Have a read, will ya?
0 Years old— This is how Trii looked when he was just born! You’ll notice right away that he’s wrapped up in some sort of carriage. That’s actually a cocoon that he was born with where his hands and feet are stored! When a star is born, its hands and feet are still underdeveloped and rely on the cocoon to keep them safe and protected from harm while they’re still in development. It takes about 1,000-2,000 years for the appendages to fully develop, and once that’s done, the cocoon will split down the middle and the young star can move and crawl freely about until it learns to walk.
Normally a star’s head is connected to the cocoon, but in Trii’s case, his head can come right off with surprising ease! What’s even more surprising is how he appears to be unharmed. Appears, because when Trii was not but a few hours old, he actually suffered a bump to the head because someone wasn’t holding him carefully, causing his head to slip and fall to the ground! Thankfully it didn’t cause any severe damage, but it was the first time Trii’s anomaly made itself known.

5,000 years old—- Trii’s hands and feet are fully developed at this point, and his edges are getting slightly sharper. His hands are just mittens at this point, but as time goes by, he’ll gain a new finger.
At this point, Trii who was getting to know the universe around him, found it hard to make friends with all the other young stars he met, thanks to his strange ability. They kept calling him names and always picked him last for any sort of space sports. He may have been teased at by the kids at nebula school and even shunned by some of the teachers, his parents would always assure him that no matter what the other stars say, he’s a special kind of star that will one day use that very ability to outshine the others a trillionfold!

10,000 years old— Trii has three fingers, his edges are getting sharper, and his feet have now gained some more detail via the new teal outlines surrounding them.
Trii’s self-esteem and positive outlook on life had probably reached its peak when he was 10,000 years old. He found out that his parents were once well-renown guardians of the galaxy and saved the universe on multiple occasions. Of course, that sparked a great amount of respect for them and he wanted to be a guardian of the galaxy just like them when he grew up. As much as his parents supported his decision, they had to convince Trii that it was for the best that nobody knew  he was the son of the galaxy’s greatest heroes, otherwise his safety would be highly jeopardized.

13,000 years old— A fourth finger has been added, the edges are growing out a bit and have become even sharper, and semi-transparent, circular disks have formed above his feet. There’s also slim pads protruding from his gloves.

Trii had only reached adolescence when his parents went to fight in the ongoing war against the planet Fe. He was given a locket to keep with him at all times to remember all the good times they had together. Ever since, Trii went to stay at a boarding nebula near the edge of the galaxy, where young stars who’s parents went to take part in the war could find shelter. There, Trii’s self esteem was once again challenged thanks to bullies like Ritka, the local pretty boy who had all the other stars following him and his ideals like a moth drawn to a flame, and Red Giant, who, as the name suggests, is a hulk of a young star who takes what he wants by force and picks on any little freak of nature he can find. Though he endured through all the torture the other stars had to offer, there was one day that he would always look forward to. Every year, parents of the young stars were given one day to return home from the war and be able to spend time with their children. This usually takes place after a year has already passed. So when it’s Trii’s turn, he always waits out front on the edge of the nebula, eagerly waiting his parents’ return. And wait he did….
17,000 years old (today)— Trii is currently about 17,000 years old, and this is how he appears to this day until his metamorphosis. His edges have become sharper, he’s developed four fingers now, his feet have grown more detailed, and the discs above his feet have become more opaque. The pads on his hands have also grown darker as well as segmented.
He waited on the edge of that boarding nebula for at least 4,000 years, but alas, his parents never came. Trii, a broken-cored star, figured that either they’ve already perished, or they’re just too engrossed in the war that they’ve forgotten about him entirely. Either way, he felt truly alone, and his self esteem was crushed. Nobody would ever talk to him or come near him unless they found a reason to pick on him. This was the case until Scorpiorn and his Omegawhale came into the scene and changed his life forever.

I thought it would be fun to try and update a character design I haven’t drawn in ages. Anybody remember Byzzara? She’s still as vain and narcissistic as ever, but now she can be vain and narcissistic IN COLOR.
Plus, I added a little Trii silhouette for size comparison.

Just a simple bust of Scorpiorn for now.

Kenny Ku is the resident strongman of Stan’s One Stop Big Top. He can lift just about 50 times his own weight with one arm alone! However, what seperates him from the other strong men out there is that he is also trained in the martial arts. Kenny is a yellow belt in karate, being able to break up to about 20 bricks made of solid concrete in just one chop. Once Stan saw the way he worked around utilizing karate moves with his strength, he decided that this could be the act he needs for his circus!
Kenny feels indifferent about Trii, though he wouldn’t miss up an opportunity to test his strength against an otherworldly foe! Just like with Molly Momentia, Kenny will host a challenge underneath one of the sideshow tents. This time, the challenge involves beating him in a test of strength and skill. The winner of the challenge is the one who is able to land more hits on his opponent before the time runs out. However, to make things a bit more difficult, transformations won’t be allowed! Thus, the only thing Trii can use to hit Kenny will be his fists. That’s where skill comes into play. Kenny will use every piece of equipment to his advantage in this challenge. Whether it’s picking up weights and throwing them at Trii, or tearing off a section of the support pole and swinging it at the star, he will use his surroundings to secure a victory. Trii may only be armed with his punches, but that doesn’t mean you can’t sidestep or jump over his attacks! After he does an attack that involves equipment, he’ll eventually get tired and slows to a halt. That gives Trii the opening he needs to land a punch! After about three or four punches however, Kenny will turn red with rage and will try to deliver a punch that can send Trii sailing out of the ring if he doesn’t back away quickly!
If enough time has passed and you’re still in the lead, Kenny will have no choice but to bring out the bricks. After he does a karate chop to break them, he will rapidly punch every piece, knocking them towards wherever he’s facing. Those pieces will scatter to and fro, making it hard for you to predict where one is going to land! But Trii shouldn’t worry; as long as he gets close and sidesteps the attack the second Kenny is about to perform it, he should be able to stay out of its range. It’s a good thing too, because Kenny will instantly be tired after pulling off that attack, so now’s Trii’s chance to get a few hits on him!
After Kenny is defeated, he’ll grant Trii with the key he needs to reach the next sideshow tent, but not before acknowledging Trii as the stronger man, to which Trii nonchalantly replies he’s dealt with stronger.

Stan’s One Stop Big Top is filled with many talented folks from all across the planet, but none are as talented (or as beautiful) as Molly Momentia, the leading acrobat. Molly and her Konex troupe is known to be one the circus’s most popular acts, not only because they can do unbelievable somersaults from up high, but because of the way Molly can manipulate her hair to act as an extra limb. How it’s done is unknown even to Stan, but if it’s popular with the masses, and if it reels in a profit, Stan doesn’t really care.
Molly also serves as Stan’s right-hand in terms of management, making sure that every act is done on schedule and in order while her boss is out there ringleading and entertaining the crowd!
Molly is extremely jealous of Trii when Stan comments that his shapeshifting ability could be the next big act for his circus. Trii eventually refuses, which a lad off of Molly’s back, but she still isn’t willing to be literally outshone by a star other than her!
Stan offers Trii the opportunity to win back the Fluerly birds he’s holding captive if he can pass each of his troupe member’s challenges. Molly’s challenge is held near the top of the circus tent. Hanging from the top of the tent are a whole slew of trapeze bars. What Trii has to do is follow Molly as she swings from one bar to another. It has to be the exact bar that she swung from, otherwise the wrong bar will detach itself and send Trii plummeting down to the ground. Pay close attention to Molly as well, because she’ll tend to swing in one or two complete loops before jumping to the next bar. Once you swing to those specific bars, you’ll have to loop around that bar the exact number of times as Molly in order to advance to the next bar. It can get a little hectic, so Trii must keep a close eye on what’s going on around him. But all in all, it’s basically like a game of acrobatic follow-the-leader!
Once Trii wins her challenge, she’ll be the better lady and admit that he’ll be a great addition to the circus…..to which Trii aggravatingly repeats he isn’t interested.

This is one of Trii’s Marvelous Modes of Transformation: spreading his edges and folding himself to form a paper airplane!
As one might’ve guessed, this mode allows Trii to travel great distances through the air and over chasms or dangerous pits to reach his destination! This is also one of the first modes that brings items into play. All Trii needs is a vine, a rubber band, or any tube-shaped device and he can bite both ends to form a makeshift rung like the ones used for hang gliders! This also helps for when he needs to carry someone else like Aardy. In order for Trii to take off without a hitch, he’ll need a running start on the platform he’s standing on, and then jump off. If done correctly, he’ll get a speed boost and will soar with the wind like it was second nature! If he jumps off without that running start, or if he doesn’t jump off in time, he’ll lose control of the plane and fall down a bit before regaining altitude while airborne. Messing up while flying over a dangerous pit can be deadly!
While airborne, Trii can tilt left or right to turn around. He can also tilt down to gain more speed while he’s descending, or up to gain a little height, while slowing down (It works similarly to the Wing Cap in Super Mario 64). There are a couple of catches, however. The first one being airborne enemies. Trii doesn’t have anything to combat enemies in the air while he’s in his plane form, but it doesn’t mean he can’t outmaneuver them. Even so, if one manages to land a hit while he’s gliding, this will cause him to loose control and fall down a bit, just like if he messed up before taking off. It’s best if Trii used the catapult on land to take them out before going airborne. Another thing to watch out for is the wind.  If the wind is blowing left or right, it can veer Trii off course in the direction the wind is blowing, so he’ll have to do his best to stay on the right path. If the wind is blowing in the opposite direction, though, it will slow Trii down entirely, making it impossible for him to reach the next area.
Impossible, that is, by himself! This is another mode that’s compatible with Aardy. All the aardvark needs to do is find a spicy insect to eat, and fire will start shooting out of his nose. If combined with Trii’s plane transformation, Aardy only needs to face the opposite direction from where Trii is gliding to, and spit fire from his nose. This makes for a rocket that can blast them forward at extreme speeds! Not only does it work against wind currents, but it can also be used to blast through airborne enemies or breakable walls!

This is one of Trii’s Marvelous Modes of Transformation: stretching and folding himself to become a giant catapult!
While in this form, Trii can use his hands to pick up heavy objects such as boulders and cannonballs with ease, place said heavy object into the cone-shaped launch pad, and then fling it at an opponent from a far-away distance! Trii can also use his hands to set the angle and trajectory of the catapult to see how far the object will fly. This method is essential for taking out foes that can give Trii a hassle up close as well as for taking out enemies hiding in hard-to-reach places such as cliff tops and the other side of rivers. If it calls for it, Trii can even use the catapult mode to fling his friends over to a hard-to-reach spot as well!
The biggest downside to this ability is that Trii’s maneuverability is slowed down to just a waddle. Trii can move in this form, but he can only rotate or move side to side slowly to reposition himself for an attack. Trii can dodge enemy fire, but if a foe were to fire an explosion, he would have a more difficult time avoiding the blast radius, so if enemies are using explosives, it’s best if Trii uses this transformation either when they’re not looking, or after they’ve finished attacking. Or better yet, if Trii’s quick enough, he can pick up the explosive and launch it right back at the enemy!

You guys remember the Geopawn I did a couple months back? Well, here’s some more variations of what that geolyte stone can combine into.

While it takes 3 geolytes to combine and create a geopawn, it only takes 5 to transform into a Geoknight. Geoknights are more advanced versions of the Geopawns that wield sharper swords, slick new armor, and a shield to fend off most attacks made head-on. Plus, their combat skills have improved tremendously, being able to dodge and sidestep some attacks made from a distance! Truly the best way for Trii to best Geoknights is to attack from the side or the back. They tend to lunge forward when they attack, but if Trii manages to dodge their assault, the Geoknights will be caught off guard, looking for you anywhere but behind them, giving you the chance to whittle them down! Now, it may sound tough, but once Trii gets a hold of his lance transformation, taking them down will be cake-easy. Why? Because their shields are only made up of a soft-but-firm gelatin like substance. Normal attacks would only bounce right off, but with the lance, Trii can pierce right through their defenses, breaking the shield entirely. This, coupled with the added attack power, can grant Trii the power to beat geoknights back to their original ore in just two hits!

Geobeasts, on the other hand, are on an entirely different level. These monsters are comprised of about 30 Geolytes and are about the same height as an adult giraffe. They also serve as the minibosses of Torcher’s Tunnel. Trii will have the (dis)pleasure of facing 3 of them at once if he hopes to make it out alive with his newly-learned lance transformation! The chamber that held the book that taught the transformation will start to rumble as three giant doors located around the chamber open to reveal .the geobeasts. All three of them stomp the ground at once, causing parts of the floor to rise up high to form a circular maze, leaving Trii in the dead center.

Now it’s up to Trii to slay the Geobeasts while at the same time, avoiding eye-contact with them. If the off chance a geobeast spots Trii, it will open its mouth as wide as its body, and release a blazing stream of flame that takes up the whole row of the maze! Afterwards, they’ll start to give chase and will try to trample you if you stay in their line of vision. The best thing to do is to attack them from behind, or to the side like the Geoknights. However, their weak spots are on top of their heads! They have ridges on their back that are well suited for Trii’s gear-transformation, so he can climb along the grooves of the geobeast’s spines. However, that leaves you open to be spotted by the other geobeasts patrolling the maze, since their heads are a bit higher than the walls. Because of their immunity to high temperatures, geobeasts won’t hesitate to launch a stream of fire at its comrade’s head just to eliminate you! And to make matters worse, they now know your location and will start stomping towards where you are!

The wise way to defeat a geobeast is if Trii approaches it from the side and uses his lance to pierce through the holes in its feet. Remember, they’re made of Geolyte as well, and serve as the foundation that keeps the Geobeasts in one piece. So stabbing them through the feet will take out their mobility and will cause them to trip, tumble, and fall flat on the ground. You can then easily climb on their back and reach the weak spot on its head to stab it with your lance! The bad news is that once it’s defeated, the geobeast will let out a deafening roar, alerting the other geobeasts of Trii;s whereabouts. However, that won’t be necessary, because a geobeast can pound the ground again, causing more pieces of the floor to rise, shortening the maze. If Trii just so happens to be on one of the parts of the floor that rises up, it’ll leave himself open to attack from the other two geobeasts if he doesn’t get back down into the maze quickly. The same process applies for the other Geobeast, but since the maze is shorter, there’s a higher risk of running into a geobeast head-on. Once the second Geobeast is taken care of, the last geobeast decides it’s had enough and pounds the ground that instead lowers the remaining parts of the floor, leaving Trii exposed and trapped in an inescapable arena with the beast. The geobeast lets out homing fireballs from its mouth before letting out a stream of fire like its comrades did. It then decides to trample the ground while chasing after Trii. It suffers the same drawbacks as the Geoknight, in which it always lunges forward, but never bothers to look behind it, and with no other Geobeasts patrolling the area, nothing can hold Trii back from just climbing its back using his gear transformation and then whaling away on its head with his lance!

It may seem like a long and arduous battle, but if you know what to do and keep a keen ear out for its footsteps, you can find the Geobeasts and slay them in no time. Plus, it’s an easy 90 Geolytes in one place!

On a side note, these guys will be colored like the rest of the enemies soon, so don’t worry.

The last of the batch, but certainly not the least is the dreaded Thrussel Sprice.

These plants may look simplistic, but they can cause quite the problem if you just ignore them. Thrussel Sprice like to attack from afar, usually when there are other enemies you’re fighting against. They can shoot consecutive rounds of hardened peas from their mouths, and since they have three heads, their firing periods almost have no breaks. This doesn’t mean they can be a threat up close either! Each of their beak-like pods are as sharp as a sickle blade, and it won’t hesitate to use them for that purpose. Their thin bodies allow them to be evasive as well, making Trii’s swordplay useless unless he plans a strategy. These slimy foes will even hide in the ground and pop up when Trii is close to an elusive treasure!
The best weapon to use against Thrussel Sprice is the shield. From a distance, Trii can use his shield form to bounce the bullets it spits out, leaving it stunned for a few seconds, giving you the chance to get close to it. Trii can also use the shield to block its slashing attacks! Bonking its heads on something as hard as Trii’s shield will leave them dazed, giving you the opportunity to slice them with your sword. It’ll take a couple tries before you can down this foe, but once you do,  it’ll definitely be a load off your back!

Normally, a daffodile is a particularly small flower. It wouldn’t be all that dangerous, since it only likes to eat things that are smaller than it. However, once in the Gigan Turas jungle, that’s an entirely different story. This plant can tower over Trii and Aardy and will stay perfectly still until it sees its opportunity to strike. A daffodile can suck things in with its sucker-like jaw, and once its prey is close enough, the sides will split apart to reveal a bigger maw like that of a crocodile before snapping them shut around its victim.
The best way for Trii to defeat this plant is to find something big to launch in his catapult mode. A big rock would most likely do the trick. Once the Daffodile sucks it in, it’ll be too big to swallow and too heavy to keep its head steady. And so its head will fall to the ground with a mighty thud! The daffodile will be dazed after that, which gives Trii plenty of time to slice it up with his sword!
